Chandra nodded as she looked back at the scroll. She replaced it back to its place and took another one down and started reading it.

Meggie went and sat down on one of the chairs and dozed off.

Chandra went throught scroll after scroll. She had thought that all these had been lost but yet here they were. Finally she finished and also sat down, though she did not sleep, only rest.

Chandra never slept somewhere she did not know at least three exits out of. She closed her eyes but stayed alert.

Meggie woke up to hear voices in the passage way. She looked over to see if the others were still there. They were. Soldiers. she thought. But how? These were not her soldiers these were of another palace. Meggie's heart thumped. She got up and woke the other two.

As soon as the voices were heard Chandra had opened her eyes, and her hand had gone to her dagger hilt. "Lets hide and see who it is." She suggested. The library indeed had alot of good places to see but not be seen.

"I have a place in case this was to happen. But who could find this place?" she moved swiftly. She dug in a book shelf and found a dagger. She took it and went to one of the tile circles on the floor. She measured for the middle and poked it through the tile. She took it out and put the dagger back. "This way." she told them quietly as the voices and shouts got louder. "Since the passage way is almost to narrow for us to get through, it will stall them unless they decide to blow it up." right when she said it the walls blew up. Meggie gasped and grabbed her friends toward the book shelf where she had found the dagger. She pointed to a dark opening. "See that over there?" she asked them lower then a whisper. "That's where we have to go. It will be tricky, but it's our only chance."

"Alright." Said Chandra in a whisper. "Go first." She told her friends as she drew a dagger just in case.

Meggie nodded. "Wait for my sign." she told Lammen. She passed between two book shelves. She waved for Lammen to come. When she passed through another book shelves, she almost ran into a soldier. She waved to Lammen to go back. But just as she turned to look at her, A soldier grabbed her arm viciously, "I think your wanted in the castle." he grinned a holy grin.

Soldiers had also come out of the hole now. Chandra held her dagger out of sight as she was seized by one guard. She did not dare to kill him, for that would be but another charge held against her.

Meggie yanked her arm and grabbed the dagger in the book shelf. she stabbed the knife in the mans heart and kept going. She killed more but then there just seemed to be more coming. She was knocked unconcience and fell to the floor.

Chandra was sourrounded by several men. She decided that her chance would be better without more killing. She dropped her dagger as the men approched. They tied her hands securely behind her back and took her weapons from her.

Lammen let them tie her up and watched as another sloider tied up Meggie. She only could grimase.
