Chandra also looked to Meggie. She hoped that she would not get into trouble because of her. The man incharge of the guards walked up to her. "Well, well, hello there... Chandra." He said. She looked at him but did not recongnize him. "I hope you know of the generous reward for you here." He said. "I do." She responded coldly. "And yet you come back? I thought you smarter." Chandra half wished she still had her dagger. She just assumed a defiant air and didn't answer. "Oh and with the princess too, my my what have you been up to?" He asked.

Lammen turned and looked at Chandra and wondered what other secrets lie within her two friends.

Chandra did nothing to struggle as she man. "Your pathetic." He spat. That was just too much. She suddenly kicked him. He doubled over as she guards caught hold of her again. He got up and punched her across the face.

Meggie woke in a cold damp room. "Chandra? Lammen?" she called in the darkness.

Chandra had been dragged into the cell next to Meggie's. "Hey." She said quietly to her call. She had her ankle chained to the wall by a thick metal chain. "Are you alright?" She asked.

"I'm ok." She said. Her jaw ached where she had been punched but she could deal with pain. The chain on her ankle was large, heavy, and rough though, and she could feel it dig into her skin.

"No idea..." Meggie replied. "Though for once I'm glad I'm here." she told Chandra.
